For the “Far Cry” game set in the Stone Age, Ubisoft Montreal worked not only with designers, animation experts and programmers, but also with historians, anthropologists, linguists and movement coaches.

Creating a new language, Wenja, based on Proto-Indo-European, was an essential part of the process of achieving the level of reality and authenticity that the development team sought for the game.

“Far Cry Primal” will be released on February 23 for PlayStation4 and Xbox One, and on March 1 for Windows PC.
