The renderer for Maya creates panoramic images using OpenGL or DirectX; the previs can be rendered in LatLong, Angular Fisheye, Domemaster, cylindrical and cubic panorama formats. The render engine can process elements such as animated polygons, NURBS geometry, lights, fluids, FumeFX volumes, Paint Effects strokes, splashes, particles, nParticles, nHair and Fur, cloth sims and shading networks.
Output
PlayblastVR supports rendering output to Google PhotoSphere as well as 360-degree videos on YouTube and Facebook 360, including automatic metadata embedding. When a panorama rendering is finished, it can be sent automatically to a panoramic viewing program or a video playback tool such as DJV Viewer or Adobe Speedgrade. Because of PlayblastVR’s hardware-based rendering of previs, time, money and artist time can be saved.

PlayblastVR for Maya version 2.0 is available now for 249 US dollars, including a cross-platform licence. Version 1.0 customers receive the update for a single-user licence for 99 US dollars.
