Urban Surfaces
by Sebastian Lange(Qu-int) & Peter Hankowiak(AV Medien) from Germany
The inspiration for “Urban Surfaces” was the aerial footage from AV Medien Film & Fernsehen in Stuttgart(www.avmedien.com), which Marketing Manager Peter Hankowiak had just produced in New York and showed him. Designer Sebastian Lange was allowed to experiment with the material until the video clip, which was over a minute long, was completed using After Effects.
As motion design works stand out from the other entries submitted due to their completely different storytelling and special look, it was important to the animago team to introduce a separate category for the first time this year.
