Revolution in the animation industry? In a Heartbeat” is about young same-sex love. The two Ringling College students deliberately chose the childlike design style of a Pixar or Peanut film in order to inspire larger studios to possibly also address the topic of same-sex romance in their films in the future. This courage led the jury to decide to award the Jury Prize to the film.
