Dates, statements and links are preserved from the original.With the Maya-Clarisse Bridge by FX TD Etman (Aroma Studios), Maya scenes can be exported to Clarisse iFX without intermediate formats. Following the new 2.0 update, the software is now easier to install and, alongside Alembic support and animations, also introduces better speed, among other things.

The Bridge enables the export of Maya scenes together with geometry, shaders and textures (UDIM layout), lights, as well as cameras. Updating the scenes afterwards requires only a few steps. The different scales and displacement values, among other things, are also converted. According to Etman, the tool converts Arnold’s aiStandardSurface into Clarisse’s DisneyPrincipled Shader.

The Bridge Tool is currently available on Gumroad for 70 dollars here. According to the developer, the software works with Clarisse 3.6 SP7 and higher, as well as Maya 2018+.
