Corona Renderer 6
Chaos Czech released Corona Renderer 6 for Cinema 4D with new tools for lighting and procedural material work.
Sky Model
The procedural sky model supported twilight and dawn, simplified sunrise and sunset animation, and allowed multiple skies and suns to be compared through LightMix.
Distance Map
Distance Map enabled procedural materials to react to nearby objects. Suggested uses included coastlines, dirt around window frames, ground-hugging fog and variation in scattered grass or tree branches.

Other additions included adaptive environment sampling, bloom and glare controls, and texture randomisation. At publication, subscriptions started at US$28.50 monthly or US$330 annually, with a 45-day trial; current terms may differ.
Artists should benchmark noise, memory use and material compatibility on production scenes.
The renderer was available from the Corona download page.
