Adobe Launches Substance 3D Collection for Materials and 3D Content

Adobe’s Substance 3D Collection combined Stager, Painter, Sampler and Designer with a library of models, materials and lighting setups.

Adobe launched the Substance 3D Collection, bringing together connected tools and services for creating, texturing, staging and rendering 3D content.

The collection comprised Substance 3D Stager for assembling models, materials and lighting into rendered scenes; Substance 3D Painter for detailed object texturing; Substance 3D Sampler for deriving textures and materials from photographs; and Substance 3D Designer for procedural materials and 3D assets.

A Substance 3D asset library supplied customisable models, materials and lighting setups. Adobe also previewed Substance 3D Modeler, a modelling application designed for creating objects through a VR interface.
