Maxon’s Fall 2021 Update Covers Cinema 4D, Redshift and Red Giant

Maxon’s fall 2021 release brought updates to Cinema 4D R25, Trapcode Suite 17, VFX Suite 2, Redshift and other Maxon tools.

Maxon announced a broad set of fall 2021 updates across Cinema 4D, Redshift and its Red Giant tools.

Cinema 4D R25

Cinema 4D R25 introduced interface improvements, an expanded preset system and new spline-import options for bringing Adobe Illustrator, PDF and SVG vector artwork into 3D scenes. Capsule assets could also be used in the Object Manager as primitives, generators and geometry modifiers.

Cinema 4D R25 introduced a reorganised interface.

Trapcode Suite 17

Trapcode Suite 17 enabled Particular and Form to operate in the same 3D space. It also added flocking-simulation features including predator/prey contacts and team assignment, improved system organisation, and support for Adobe multi-frame rendering across the Trapcode tools.

VFX Suite 2 added the procedural Bang muzzle-flash generator.

VFX Suite 2 and Redshift

VFX Suite 2 added Bang, a procedural muzzle-flash generator with 3D positioning. Primatte Keyer gained GPU acceleration through Apple Metal.

Redshift also added Apple Metal compatibility and support for M1-based Macs. Subscribers received immediate access to the applicable updates for Cinema 4D, Red Giant Complete, Universe and Redshift.
