U-Render released version 2021.9 of its real-time renderer for Cinema 4D.
Sheen material effect
The main addition was a sheen effect that simulated how light scatters across very small fibres, facets or particles on a surface. It was intended for materials such as fabric, clothing, skin, fur and soft furnishings, where fine surface fibres influence the highlight and shading response.
Cinema 4D R25 and Asset Browser
U-Render 2021.9 added support for Cinema 4D R25 and allowed textures from Cinema 4D’s Asset Browser to be used in U-Render material and render settings.
