Five hours of FACS-based training

The workshop runs for more than five hours and introduces the Facial Action Coding System (FACS) as a framework for separating human facial expressions into manageable action units for CG animation. After covering the fundamentals, Sesson demonstrates a standard ZBrush-to-Maya workflow for producing facial blendshapes.

The later chapters show how to prepare the head for deformation and block the different regions of facial motion with deformers.
