VEGAS Pro 19 Launches with Cloud and AI Tools

VEGAS Pro 19 introduced cloud-connected workflows, mobile uploads, multilingual text to speech, AI tools and Blackmagic RAW support.

MAGIX released version 19 of its VEGAS Pro editing software in 2021, describing it as the centrepiece of a substantially renewed product line.

Cloud-connected workflow

The new Hub window provided access to cloud storage, stock footage and tutorials. A companion Hub mobile app allowed users to upload material to cloud storage from a mobile device.

AI, speech and codec support

VEGAS Pro 19 also added multilingual text-to-speech functions, AI-assisted upscaling and zooming, and support for the Blackmagic RAW codec.

Market and historical pricing

VEGAS continued to target independent and small-to-medium creative teams. At launch, the perpetual VEGAS Edit licence cost US$249, with subscriptions from US$12.99 per month. VEGAS Pro cost US$399.99 perpetually or US$19.99 per month, while VEGAS Post cost US$599 perpetually or US$29.99 per month.
