In brief: The 26th FMX Film & Media Exchange opened on 3 May 2022. Running through 6 May, it was the conference’s first hybrid edition and covered animation, visual effects, interactive work and immersive media.
FMX 2022 in numbers: More than 300 speakers and 120 presentations were scheduled across three days in Stuttgart. The final day moved online with 60 virtual presentations. Registered visitors could access the event’s video-on-demand programme until 31 May 2022.

- Hands-on virtual production: A stage from ARRI Solutions, disguise, Neumann & Müller Veranstaltungstechnik, ROE Visual, TrackMen and Unreal Engine let visitors operate a camera and explore real-time production.
- Marketplace: Companies and start-ups presented projects, while workshops, masterclasses, company suites, a recruiting hub and a school campus extended the programme.
