Since 2002, the Association of German Commercial Film Producers (VDW), based in Munich and Hamburg, has organised its VDW Award. The currently 38 members represent approximately 75 percent of the nationwide commercial-film production volume of around 1500 productions. Anyone who was involved in the production of a commercial film can take part.
This year’s award ceremony takes place under the motto “The Family Meets” on September 23 from 19:30 at Schauspielfrankfurt in the Frankfurt am Main. In the competition, almost 300 films vie in 15 categories from directing to visual effects for the prizes called “Hatto”.
