Hardly any product subject in advertisements or films is still filmed or photographed for real. Most images are digitally post-processed or even created entirely on the computer. In many cases, RTT is responsible for this. The software solutions RTT DeltaGen and RTT Portal from the Munich VR specialist have established themselves as standard tools among developers and designers as well as marketing and sales professionals all over the world. Porsche, Lamborghini or Adidas rely on RTT to visualize their products for design and marketing.
Now RTT AG presents its most important products in a new version – RTT DeltaGen 7.0 and RTT Portal 3.0. With a range of new functionalities, the two software solutions offer not only the highest degree of realistic representation, but also numerous possibilities for process acceleration and workflow efficiency. The brand-new versions are available now.
RTT DeltaGen 7.0
With the RTT DeltaGen 7.0 software, extremely realistic, real-time-capable high-end visualizations in 3D are possible. The visual highlight of the new version is a new user interface designed intuitively and even more user-friendly. New color schemes and icons allow users to create 3D models and scenes simply and efficiently. The central new features include the further simplification of processes and data management. The focus here is on “Assembly Handling” as well as direct connection to RTT Portal libraries. The latter new feature allows immediate access to material and object libraries – for example, to a wheel-rim database for cars – from RTT DeltaGen to RTT Portal 3.0. “Assembly Handling” enables 3D scenes to be divided into assemblies. These assemblies can then be edited simultaneously and independently of one another by different users.
“In May, we presented the new versions for the first time at our 8th RTT Conference”, says Ludwig A. Fuchs, board member and founder of RTT AG. “With the improved version of the light and shadow visualization tool RTT RealLight, we were able to fascinate the participants especially. This is what the industry has been waiting for” Fuchs explains.
With the highlight RTT RealLight, the Munich visualization expert creates convincing innovations in the real-time simulation of shadow effects. These are now calculated more correctly and many times faster. The secret: The effects are independent of the polygon mesh, which enables outstanding shadow representation even with coarse tesselation.
Additional applications and modules
RTT DeltaGen serves to prepare complex 3D data for real-time visualization in high-end quality. Alongside geometric preparation, data can also be furnished with high-quality visual effects and staged in a real environment. For users, RTT keeps a range of optional modules and further applications available that offer even more functions. These too were improved as part of the new major version. Thus RTT DeltaView plus (real-time viewer), RTT RealTrace (physically correct real-time visualization of light reflections and –refractions), RTT Analyzer (geometric real-time analysis) as well as RTT Powerwall (object visualization in XXL) can demonstrate a range of improvements that accelerate the workflow, facilitate teamwork and make the visualizations look even more real.
Everything in view – RTT Portal 3.0
Design processes are increasingly handled on the digital level and are thereby also becoming ever more complex. The server-based software solution RTT Portal 3.0 provides an overview of all design-relevant data and is thus the optimal tool for handling complex project data. The new version of the digital asset-management tool is distinguished by the following functions: Simplified management of RTT Portal and object libraries offers greater efficiency; through the connection to RTT DeltaGen 7.0, users can access their 3D real-time application directly. Another new feature is RTT Portal Mobile. With it, selected content from RTT Portal can be transferred to a laptop in order to edit it independently of location. The changed content is then automatically synchronized via the RTT Portal server upon return.
