It is a globally unique, complex and modular development platform for online-capable entertainment products. The company is presenting the technology for the first time at Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig from August 23 – 26, stand E 75 in Hall 1.

With the objective of creating a holistic service solution for all relevant game platforms, EEIS was conceived on the basis of the company’s decades of know-how, which is a subsidiary of the Bertelsmann corporate division arvato. The partners of arvato systems can concentrate on the production of content; EEIS takes over the administration of the “back office”. That saves time and money.

On this, arvato systems Managing Director Dr. Michael Pesch: “In close cooperation with valued partners, we have created a development platform that transfers the service concept of arvato systems to the entertainment software industry. We are convinced that EEIS optimally covers the online service needs of small as well as large companies and products. In doing so, as an independent premium service provider we do not want to compete with traditional publishers.”

The core of EEIS is the Massive Multiplayer network engine TinCat from Instance Four. This has already been used successfully in numerous computer game productions since 1996 and is continuously developed further.

On the technical basis of TinCat, modules were programmed and implemented through which EEIS advances to the most extensive and holistic development platform in the entertainment software market. Among other things, the user can access complex billing systems with diverse in-game advertising tools and use the proven hosting and housing solutions from arvato systems. ISO-certified security services round out the modular package together with rich and innovative distribution possibilities.

The cost efficiency of projects is increased through minimized overheads and sophisticated billing models, while development expenditures are reduced at the same time. Novel elements such as integrated in-game auction platforms additionally open up new sales channels.

Ingo Mohr, Business Developer at arvato systems, is pleased to be able to present EEIS to a broad audience at this year’s Games Convention: “The Games Convention is the ideal time and place to explain our extensive concept and present EEIS. We invite everyone to have the development platform presented to them in detail at our stand and to get to know the future of online services for entertainment software.”

In recent months, promising discussions have been held with renowned international companies. These are intended to be intensified at Games Convention. In this context, an exclusive insight into EEIS will be granted.
