Autodesk will focus on production workflows as well as individual systems. Visitors can examine interoperability across film and television production, with Flame for visual effects, Smoke for finishing, and Lustre for colour grading forming the main demonstrations.
At stand 7-420, industry artists will show production examples created with Autodesk systems. Material includes trailers from the feature Namibia: Struggle for Liberation, Hyundai’s “Fluid Quality” commercial, and the Faithless music video “Bomb.”
On Saturday, 8 September, German-speaking artists will present demonstrations and live sessions designed for the German market. Autodesk systems and marketing representatives will also be available at the stand.
Following their SIGGRAPH introduction in August, 3ds Max 2008, Maya 2008, and MotionBuilder 7.5 Extension 2 will be shown to a broader European audience. Toxik 2008, the latest version of Autodesk’s desktop compositing software for feature-film work, will also be demonstrated.
