Metricminds, a provider of motion capture services, is creating a celebratory mood with its HouseWarmingWeek. Workshops, presentations, evening events and exclusive game presentations provide an appropriate setting for the inauguration of the new, completely converted and expanded „Loft Studio“ in Frankfurt.
Managing Director Philip Weiss: „To ensure that guests are optimally supplied with red-hot information from the industry, we have invited the companies weltenbauer, WACOM, Autodesk, Massive Software and Naturalmotion. In workshops and presentations, they share their know-how with all interested parties.“
In addition, during HouseWarmingWeek, game developers, advertisers, film productions, graphic artists, publishers, post production studios and all other visitors can experience live during the day how 3D animations, motion capture, visual effects or trailers are professionally produced.
On Tuesday, October 30, Parasol Island and Unexpected will present their successful projects realized in close cooperation with metricminds. This will be followed by a detailed workshop on the subject of „motion capture in commercials“. In the evening, the day will be rounded off with chilled music, stimulating conversations and BBQ.
On Wednesday, October 31, one of the IGDA Frankfurt Chapter meetings, now known beyond the state borders, will take place in the evening. The tried-and-tested team will present interested guests with high-quality presentations on game development, given by renowned speakers.
Thanks to the friendly support of Crytek and EA, the hotly anticipated game Crysis will be playable against one another in multiplayer even before release at the LAN party on Thursday, November 1. The network fun will be rounded off by „Team Fortress 2“, which guarantees pure gaming fun with humor and a comic look. The crowning finale will be the big club party on the evening of November 02, to which metricminds, weltenbauer and EA cordially invite all members of the industry.
HouseWarmingWeek takes place from October 29, 2007 – November 2, 2007 at metricminds, Rüsselsheimer Strasse 22, Frankfurt. Participation in all events is free of charge. The daily workshops and seminars take place during the day from 14.00 to around 19.00, followed by the evening events.
