nForce 780i SLI: NVIDIA’s Ultimate Gaming Platform for Intel PCs

NVIDIA developed its new nForce 780i SLI media processor especially for Intel’s QX9650 processors with 1,333 MB Front Side Bus. In addition, it supports Extreme Overclocking and NVIDIA’s new three-way SLI technology, which allows the simultaneous use of three graphics cards in one PC.

NVIDIA’s new nForce 780i SLI media processor brings numerous new functions to Intel PCs, including support for PCI Express 2.0 and the new ESA protocol (Enthusiast System Architecture), which is based on open industry standards and monitors and adjusts internal PC operating parameters.

In addition, the new motherboard solution also supports NVIDIA’s three-way SLI technology. It allows three graphics cards to be used in a single PC and increases graphics performance by up to 2.8 times compared with a PC with only one card. All current games such as “Crysis” or “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” can thus be played at a super-sharp resolution of up to 2,500 x 1,600, with all special effects such as high-dynamic-range lighting, motion blur and realistic environmental effects.

The nForce 780i SLI is available from all leading system integrators and motherboard manufacturers, including Arlt, Asus, Atelco, Biohazard Computers, Chiligreen, Colorful, CyberPower, Digital Storm, Ditech, EVGA, Falcon Northwest, Gigabyte, HP, Hypersonic, Ibuypower, K&M Elektronik, Maingear, Meijin, MSI, Puget, Rombus, Vigor Gaming, Vodoo PC, Warmachine, XFX and Xi.

“Our customers want to play games like Crysis in their full splendour on NVIDIA’s SLI technology”, says Kelt Reeves, President of Falcon Northwest. “With nForce 780i and Intel Yorkfield CPUs under the bonnet, that is now becoming a reality. We are pleased that we can offer our customers fully equipped PCs not with one, nor even with two, but with three GeForce Extreme Gaming graphics processors, the perfect platform for current games.”
