The new flagship of Toshiba Europe GmbH Computer Systems Germany/Austria’s Camileo range is the Camileo H10.
According to the company, its completely new format and design give the Camileo family a new face. The device offers powerful equipment for ambitious filmmakers entering the HD segment. A maximum video resolution of 1,280 × 720 pixels and 5× optical zoom provide brilliant holiday footage. Through HDMI, the camcorder can be connected directly to an HD television so self-shot films can be viewed with family and friends in 16:9 format. Also new is the Camileo HD, whose design follows the previous models.
Alongside high 1,280 × 720 video resolution and a supplied HDMI cable, the device offers an exciting new feature: bundled software enables videos to be uploaded directly to YouTube.
Amateur filmmakers can quickly upload funny footage or spectacular holiday adventures to the internet and make them available to the public.
High ambitions: New Toshiba Camileo H10 camcorder
Handy, compact and weighing 340 grams, the new Camileo H10 resembles the Gigashot range and competes with larger models, closing the gap between Camileo all-rounders and high-end Gigashot models.

It confidently fulfills this role with 1,280 × 720 video resolution and 5× optical zoom with a focal length of 6.8 to 34 mm. Internal 64 MB NAND flash memory provides space for videos and photos. Films and photos can be viewed on the brilliant 2.7-inch widescreen TFT LCD. An HDMI digital AV connection lets users enjoy holiday footage on a large HD television.
Compact combination package: Toshiba Camileo HD
The new Toshiba Camileo HD is strikingly affordable and retains the look and feel of its predecessors. Its price-performance ratio is highly attractive given its multifunction capabilities. Whether used as a still camera, mobile voice recorder or MP3 player, it demonstrates strength in every function. The device offers 5-megapixel photo resolution and 8× digital zoom.
Unlike the Camileo H10, it uses a CMOS sensor. Its 2.5-inch LCD is slightly larger than its predecessor’s. The internal 64 MB memory can be expanded using SD/SDHC cards. For further data processing, the camcorder connects to televisions, notebooks and AV devices through its HD TV component output or Mini-USB. An additional lithium-ion battery and battery charger are also available for the Camileo series.
Availability and warranty
The new Camileo H10 is available immediately at a recommended retail price of €219 including VAT; the Camileo HD costs €119 including VAT. The optional lithium-ion battery and charger each cost €20. Toshiba provides a two-year manufacturer’s warranty on all Camileo models.
