ComingSoon reports that Bruce Boxleitner will also have a role in the upcoming remake of the legendary 1982 original TRON, alongside Jeff Bridges and newcomers Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett.

In the 1982 version, hacker Kevin Flynn (Bridges) enters the processor world of his computer and joins forces with Tron (Boxleitner) to battle software pirates and rogue utility programs.

At present, little information is available about the production of TRON 2.0, or TR2N, which is scheduled to reach cinemas in a 3D version in 2010. Joseph Kosinski is directing. It is probably safe to assume, however, that the villainous Master Control Program will return.
