The enhanced iColor Print 1.5 printer-calibration solution, with optional media-wedge evaluation, is complemented by the iColor Output print system for Mac OS X 10.5. It provides colour-accurate prints, including media-wedge placement, for RGB, CMYK and PDF workflows on supported printers from A3+ to A1+. Perfectly colour-accurate prints can be produced with just a few mouse clicks. Paper profiles created in iColor Print can be integrated easily into iColor Output, and profiling charts can be printed directly from the output module. The printer-calibration profiling engine has been improved specifically for RGB profiling in photographic workflows, making the two products an ideal complement to each other.
The enhanced version of iColor Display 3.5 monitor calibration offers further optimised profile quality, providing the foundation for excellent soft proofs and precise image editing. The new version of iColor Display 3.5 also includes a revised gamut viewer. A new white-point editor allows two monitors to be matched visually to each other, or a monitor to a D50 light box. It is joined by an expanded spot-colour measurement mode that can be used to check colour behaviour between the calibration software and an application, or within a workflow.
The calibration solutions are complemented by the iColor Proof soft-proof viewer and the new USB-controlled Lightbox XL3, which automatically adjusts to the calibration luminance. Alongside precise soft proofing, iColor Proof can simulate another monitor, enabling review and approval even in a heterogeneous workflow.
Two large-format monitors, the Intelli Proof 262 excellence and Intelli Proof 240 excellence, are another highlight this year. Further new monitor products round out the extensive presentation.
