With the 52SR2, Sanyo Sales & Marketing Europe is now presenting a professional monitor that offers good readability even in difficult and very bright lighting conditions when used outdoors. Daylight-Readable technology ensures this. In accordance with the IP66 standard, the 52SR2 is optimally protected against the ingress of water in general and powerful water jets. This makes it extremely versatile. Whether in installations at bus stops, in car washes, ski areas, shopping centres, theme parks or industrial production: it withstands even adverse weather conditions such as severe frost, heavy moisture or heat.

Good readability

With Daylight-Readable technology, Sanyo’s 52SR2 also impresses in difficult lighting conditions. Incident light is used for high-quality, high-contrast image display. With a contrast ratio of 2000:1, pale and indistinct images are therefore a thing of the past. The transflective monitor structure reflects incident light and thereby uses it to display the image. The monitor achieves brightness of up to 1,500 cd/m2. The 52SR2 is also particularly environmentally friendly, since the increased brightness is achieved only when needed and without higher power consumption, through the monitor structure itself. Thanks to the impressive screen diagonal of 52 inches or 132 centimetres (115.2 x 64.8 centimetres), readability is also very good from long distances.

A true outdoor talent

The 52SR2 is ideally suited to outdoor use: in accordance with the IP66 standard, it is completely protected against contact and the ingress of dust and water. It withstands possible physical force thanks to a front panel with a maximum surface load capacity of 100 N/mm2, five times more resilient than that of conventional monitors. It also has an anti-corrosion enclosure and can be used at temperatures from -20 to +45 degrees Celsius. The 52SR2 is therefore recommended for digital-signage applications - both indoors and outdoors.

Impressive picture quality

Thanks to its Full HD resolution, the 52SR2 offers very good picture quality. With a fast response time of just eight milliseconds, the monitor delivers sharp and clear images, and colours are reproduced with high contrast and natural fidelity even under bright lighting conditions. Via the optional Network Manager, the monitor can be controlled and monitored over a network. The video-wall function enables an image to be displayed across up to 25 monitors with the help of a signal distributor. The 52SR2 also features picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture functions.

Price, availability and warranty

The 52SR2 will be available from specialist retailers from February. The recommended retail price is 15,000 euros excluding VAT. Sanyo offers a three-year warranty on the device.
