According to the company, Sony Professional designed the MVS-6000 so that its operation, format, inputs and outputs, and much more can be adapted to the user’s production-specific requirements. The system’s modular construction allows users to expand the multi-format vision mixer easily with additional control panels or individually separated modules offering numerous additional functions.
The video mixer is said to be a flexible solution for every modern production requirement. It handles both standard definition and all common HD formats such as 1080i and 720p. With the optional MKS-8450G I/O format-converter card, Sony says, users have not only integrated up- and downconversion between SD and HD, but also cross-conversion between 1080i and 720p, considerably simplifying the mixing of different signals.
The MVS-6000 can also be configured as required for the respective demands in terms of mix/effects banks and inputs and outputs – from 15 inputs and one ME to 49 inputs and 2.5 ME – all with 24 outputs in each case, Sony explains.
