Canadian manufacturer Christie is expanding its “Mirage” series with the WU7K-M model. Behind this rather unwieldy name is a 3D DLP projector that operates at full WUXGA resolution (1920 by 1200 pixels). At 330 MHz over dual-link DVI, the manufacturer promises a contrast ratio of up to 10,000:1, with a lamp life of 3,000 hours and brightness of 6,300 ANSI lumens.
3D input can either operate at a standard refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, in a second mode for sequential input signals, or for sources with a refresh rate of 60 Hz that is doubled to 120 Hz. Optionally, a passive stereo source at 120 Hz can be connected in dual-input mode.
