Shoran Software RenderPal 2.6 Available

Furthermore, this release includes a revised form of net-job dependencies. Waiting was introduced. The dependent net job checks whether one or more of its segments can be rendered by matching, for example,  ID or frame length with segments in parent net jobs. Rendering of the segments in the dependent net job begins only when all parent segments that match the criteria have been rendered.

The creation of scripts, which are often needed to control applications, has also been improved. Each renderer can now create its own script based on a template, written in a simple, descriptive scripting language for fast processing.

Shoran Software announced that the action can also be edited directly if the render time is inconsistent. In addition to the familiar procedure of restarting the net job when a segment’s render time is too short, it can now also be aborted. If a segment takes too much time, it can be aborted, restarted, or skipped.

It is also possible to select additional user accounts in net jobs in order to send notifications to them. Since the new Version 2.6, net-job segments can also be controlled from the command line, and the renderers receive combined scene lists. Multiple scenes are therefore not automatically split into different segments.
