Slow-Motion Videos with the iPhone 4S and iPad 3

Sand Mountain Studios developed a small app intended to allow users to record slow-motion videos with the iPhone 4S or iPad 3. This is done in 720p at 60 frames per second, with playback at half speed intended to create the desired slow-motion effect. A demo is offered free of charge, and the full version is available through iTunes for EUR 1.59.

Anyone who would like to test the small tool can, according to Sand Mountain, download the demo free of charge here. It should be kept in mind, however, that the demo in particular integrates a watermark into the video and does not allow the videos to be saved. Many users who have already tested it extensively are asking whether designing the demo with these restrictions makes sense. Judging by the reviews, it appears that the functionality shown in the video is not achieved.

Further information independent of user comments is available via the Sand Mountain Studios homepage.
