The film-emulation plug-in is compatible with After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut, Vegas, Motion and Photoshop and is also available as a standalone version. The plug-in can add the film grain and color look of 19 different analog film stocks to digital recordings.
In the new version, the tool receives an upgrade to the rendering engine so that the graphics-card GPU can now be used. According to FilmConvert, this means the plug-in can now be used in real time for the first time. In addition, the plug-in has received an improvement to color correction, including three-way color correction, a saturation slider and a levels graph.
On the camera side, support for the Sony FS700 camera has been added. The plug-in is currently said to support more than 20 cameras; only free data packages need to be downloaded for this.
The update is available free of charge to all registered FilmConvert users.
