Now that there is no longer any escape from Star Wars 7–9, the VFX veteran is heading across the pond to produce a large part of the necessary effects there. After extras had already been sought on the island, the "next Jedi" seems likely to say "Bugger" more often than "Fuck"—which does not necessarily have to be a bad thing.
In any case, ILM is currently looking for premises and wants to move into rooms in the chic Soho district by the beginning of April. Shortly before "Avengers 2: The Age of Ultron" enters the hot phase. The Disney division of the nexst saga installments will be headed by Roger Guyett (three-time Oscar winner, most recently with "Star Trek Into Darkness), although the ILM branches in San Francisco, Singapore and Vancouver will presumably also be involved.
Among those working in London will be Ben Morris (until recently at Framestore), Michael Eames (Prime Focus), and Nina Fallon (Double Negative). The UK studio there is expected to have around 200 employees—as though it might now be worthwhile to send in application documents.
