Unity 2019.3 Update Higlights
- Editor Update: New interface, Quick Search feature and Asset Import Pipeline
- Animation Rigging in the Timeline for editing animations.
- New 2D Tools – including PSD Importer, 2D Pixel Perfect, 2D Animation Pack, as well as new lights and shadows in the Universal Render Pipeline.
- Terrain Updates for easier creation of caves or trenches.
- DOTS sample projects and new features released, including profiling tools, physics updates, improved version control and more.
- AR and VR updates with Magic Leap and HoloLens support, XR Plug-in Framework and Vulkan (Preview) for Oculus Quest.
- Rendering Features now also include support for Arnold’s Standard Surface Shader, 3ds Max Physcial Material and Autodesk Interactive Shader.
- HDRP (High Definition Render Pipeline) is now Production Ready, with additional features such as custom post-processing and render passes, a new lookdev feature, Ray Tracing Preview and more. “The Heretic” short film (see below) shows the current possibilities of HDRP in Unity.
