Autodesk released Bifrost 2.3 with a focus on making simulation work easier to build and adjust through real-time feedback.

New and improved features included virtual sliders for smooth port changes, more expressive simulation graphs, adaptive volumes, Aero and MPM updates, Alembic and OpenVDB improvements, and the Terminal tool graduating from beta.

Autodesk industry marketing manager Jocely Moffatt said the release was intended to help artists create sophisticated simulations and photorealistic effects more easily. Artist Bruce Lee highlighted Feedback Port Preservation, which allowed downstream-node parameters to change without resetting the simulation node.
