Based on the award-winning CCE Pro Encoder, Cinemacraft Japan launched its new MPEG2 DVD encoding system last week. Highlights include virtual multipass encoding, which allows 2-8 analysis passes to be made in one real-time pass. Also now included: Segment Re-Encoding, for the subsequent re-encoding of segments.
ZOOtech: DVD-EXTRA STUDIO Version 1.5
The new version of DVD-EXTRA STUDIO - a JavaScript and database based DVD authoring solution is now available for all customers. New features include: Adobe After Effects 6.5 and Adobe Photoshop CS integration, subtitle automation, a JavaScript debugger, Type 3 instructions and support for the Macrovision Analogue Protection System (APS).

Blackmagic - manufacturer of the DeckLink video card series for PC and Apple - yesterday introduced the new version 4.8 for Windows.
New features include: Real-time effects in Adobe Premiere Pro, 3:2 pulldown in HD and Photoshop plug-ins. With version 4.8, SD Material Cross, Additive and Dip-to-Black transitions are supported in real time. Further real-time effects are to follow.
