Avid Technology released Xpress DV 3.5 for Mac OS X and Windows XP.
New colour-correction tools used Avid’s patented NaturalMatch technology, derived from the Symphony finishing system. It provided colour-to-colour matching without relying on less precise greyscale adjustments.
A software real-time architecture supported more than 100 effects together with titling, compositing and colour correction across several layers without a separate render pass.
The Mac version ran on G4 laptops, desktops and iMacs with Mac OS X 10.1.4 or later and a processor of at least 400 MHz. The Windows edition had comparable requirements. The release is part of the Avid and colour-grading archive.
