Adobe Atmosphere allows website and digital-document designers to build interactive 3D environments for artistic, e-commerce, entertainment and educational projects.
Architects and designers can export existing prototypes, designs and models from CAD or DCC applications for web presentation, allowing clients to walk through a virtual object and discuss changes in real time. Publishers can also create PDF-based interactive e-books with animated 3D effects.
Atmosphere imports animated 3D content from applications including 3ds Max and Maya. Its functions include real-time dynamic lighting, fog, glare and spatial-sound effects, plus the Havok game engine.
The English-language release for Windows XP is available as a download from the Adobe Store for approximately 570 euros. Atmosphere environments can be viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 and XP, and with Acrobat Reader.
