Sebastian Sylwan is the new Senior Film and Television Industry Manager at Autodesk
Sebastian Sylwan is the new Senior Film and Television Manager at Autodesk Media & Entertainment. Sylwan, who works from Los Angeles, is now responsible for detecting trends and opportunities in the global film and TV market. To promote understanding of digital technologies as well as their use, he will work closely with Autodesk’s customers and partners.

Sylwan comes from Digital Domain, where he held the position of Director of Technology. At Digital Domain, he very successfully renewed the technological infrastructure. Furthermore, he supported the expansion of new areas such as the development of the first stereoscopic presentation of a computer-generated and animated film. Sylwan also worked as Principal Technology Advisor at the Institute for Creative Technologies at the University of Southern California. In this function, Sylwan led the Light Stage 6 project. Light Stage technology is used for research in computer graphics and can currently be found in most pipelines for visual film effects in Hollywood. Previously, Sylwan built the company Lumiq in Italy – a studio for production, post-production and 3D animation.
