PNY Technologies, the exclusive add-in-card partner for NVIDIA Quadro graphics solutions, is launching the new PNY Quadro FX 3700, a high-end graphics card offering up to twice the performance of the previous product generation.
The PNY Quadro FX 3700 provides high data throughput for interactive visualisation. With 112 parallel processors, 512 MB of integrated graphics memory and a 256-bit memory interface, it can handle the large models and complex real-time shaders common in CAD and digital content creation markets.
An NVIDIA® Application Configuration Engine is integrated into the PNY Quadro FX 3700 to improve ease of use. It automatically configures the graphics hardware and software to deliver maximum application performance.
“The advanced NVIDIA unified architecture introduced last year enables shaders to simulate an almost unlimited range of physical effects, such as lighting through scattering, reflection, refraction and BRDF models, as well as physical surface properties including shadowing, porosity and blending,” explains Martin Haufschild, PNY Technologies Sales and Marketing Director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. “Real-time shaders let these effects be combined and modified interactively, which is impossible with simple static 2D texture mapping.”
The high-end PNY Quadro FX 3700 also supports PCI Express Gen 2, doubling the data-transfer rate between the GPU and Gen 2 processors to 16 GB/s. The graphics card complies with Energy Star 4.0 and consumes less than 80 watts.
The PNY FX 3700 is available to system integrators, resellers and distributors across Europe and the Middle East at a recommended retail price of €1,129 including 19 percent VAT.
