Numerous professional graphics solutions from NVIDIA have been certified for the new Adobe Creative Suite 5. NVIDIA’s Quadro graphics processors allow the real-time video-editing capabilities offered by Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to be used to their full extent.
In combination with NVIDIA’s parallel GPU-computing architecture, which provides hundreds of computing cores, Adobe Premiere Pro enables substantial acceleration in areas such as film and video production. Users can implement complex multilayer projects with a virtually unlimited number of video clips in HD or higher resolution, add visual effects to them and perform colour corrections. Productivity is increased significantly because rendering wait times are eliminated and full-resolution previews are available.
With a cost-effective Quadro-based workstation and Adobe video software, film and video producers receive the performance and creative freedom that previously required systems costing more than US$100,000.
“Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and the Adobe Mercury Playback Engine offer performance acceleration that will bring users a substantial increase in productivity,” explained Simon Hayhurst, Senior Director Product Management of the Digital Video and Audio Group at Adobe. “Together with support for NVIDIA solutions, users in fields such as postproduction, videography and film production, as well as hobby filmmakers, can carry out their tasks more easily and at higher quality.”

Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium, which includes Adobe Photoshop Extended and Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro with the new Adobe Mercury Playback Engine are supported by multiple NVIDIA GPUs. Products certified by Adobe include Quadro FX 5800, Quadro FX 4800, Quadro FX 4800 for Mac, Quadro FX 3800 and Quadro CX.
