The Desktop Video update is now intended to allow Blackmagic’s DeckLink, UltraStudio and Intensity to work with the new Adobe Creative Cloud features and offer an expanded workflow for editing, compositing and visual effects. According to Blackmagic Design, this allows users to employ the new editing timeline, shortcuts and audio mixing in Adobe Premiere Pro CC and the new effects tools in After Effects CC.

Adobe After Affects CC users can work with uncompressed or compressed files at up to Ultra HD and 4K quality.

Blackmagic Design has also announced a lower price of 995 US dollars for UltraStudio 4K; DeckLink 4K Extreme is also available at that price. Desktop 9.7.5 can be downloaded free of charge by all DeckLink, UltraStudio and Intensity owners.
