The Mery rig can be used in Maya version 2013 and higher; the picker and poser system is currently only supported by Windows. An extension to Linux and Mac OSX is planned soon, however.
The Disney lookalike character may not be used for commercial projects, but students can use it for non-commercial test work, and the character can also be used for showreel or other demo purposes.
