Blocks is a new free VR application from Google that you can use together with your VR gear to create 3D models. With six built-in functions – Shape, Stroke, Grab, Modify and Erase, and Paint – the tool is designed for low-poly modeling. You can then export to .obj or as an animated gif. A playlist with workflow examples can be found here. Google has also published a gallery where you can upload and view work.
Requirements
To use Blocks, you need Windows 7 or later, as well as an HTC Vive or Oculus Rift headset and controller. Google also recommends 8GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 GPU or better.
