Chaos Group has announced a completely redeveloped V-Ray for Cinema 4D plug-in. The renderer is finally intended to expand its range of features, with GPU interactive rendering, native C4D materials and more:

V-Ray for C4D Features (1)

  • Improved motion blur with CPU and V-Ray GPU
  • IPR and production rendering with CPU and V-Ray GPU
  • Full and region rendering in the viewport
  • Better V-Ray VFB integration
  • Improved lens effects

The second preview shows the new V-Ray GPU features in particular—the demonstration runs with native C4D materials on an NVidia TITAN V.

  • V-Ray Dome Light with a better interface and settings
  • Improved materials, textures and UV mapping with interactive rendering
  • Native Cinema 4D materials with better support
  • Bucket rendering support with V-Ray GPU
