Almost one month after the last Flame update, which continued to focus on machine-learning features, Autodesk has released Flame 2020.3, the latest version of the VFX, compositing and finishing software.

Flame with Maya and Mudbox 2020

With the Flame 2020.3 update, 3D scenes can be exchanged directly between Flame, Mudbox and Maya using a new “Send to” function. This requires the likewise new releases of Maya 2020 and Mudbox 2020. “Send To” therefore enables a workflow between the named applications without having to export or import files. The feature can, for example, be useful for texturing, sculpting or further geometry adjustments.
