Ragdoll Dynamics launched in early access as a physics solver for Autodesk Maya. While its applications overlap with nCloth and nHair, the system works on transforms rather than individual points.
The technology was already being used by developers including Naughty Dog, whose credits include The Last of Us, Uncharted and Jak and Daxter.
At launch, the Maya solver was offered for £99. The following tutorials demonstrated its workflow and a short hair simulation.
