A subdivision-modelling exercise
Ontario-based 3D artist Pulkit Jain built a vintage ticket dispenser to strengthen his subdivision-modelling skills after working mainly with triangulated game assets in advertising. Jain studied Digital Animation at Durham College and had worked professionally in 3D since 2016.

Industry colleagues suggested the mechanical dispenser as a suitable hard-surface subject. The workshop divides the work into modelling and sculpting, retopology and unwrapping, rendering and lighting, then a final assessment. Maya, Substance and Marmoset formed the core toolchain.
