As Intel announced at the weekend, the company has fully acquired the Irish Havok Inc. Havok is to continue operating as an independent subsidiary headquartered in Dublin and with branches in San Francisco, San Antonio, Stockholm, Calcutta, Munich and Tokyo.

Thus, Havok technology works in games such as “BioShock,” “Stranglehold,” “Halo 2,” “Half Life 2,” “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,” “Crackdown,” “Lost Planet: Extreme Condition,” “MotorStorm” and “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” as well as in films such as “Poseidon,” “The Matrix,” “Troy,” “Kingdom of Heaven” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
