HP expands employee headcount in Germany
Computer group Hewlett-Packard (HP) is benefiting from the good mood in the IT industry in Germany. In the past fiscal year 2006/07 (31.10.), the Böblingen company increased its revenue by ten percent to 6.5 billion euros. HP Germany head Uli Holdenried said this on Wednesday in Stuttgart. The private customer business with desktops and notebooks made a decisive contribution to the development.
PC market grows strongly
Demand for notebooks is driving the market for personal computers (PCs) strongly. In the third quarter of 2007, worldwide PC sales grew by around 15 percent year on year, as the market research institutes Gartner and IDC reported on Thursday.
