Gameforge launches recruiting offensive

Who doesn't dream of turning their hobby into a career? Developing computer games, designing graphics, launching and promoting a new game for millions of players - Gameforge is looking for around 150 employees for these and other tasks this year. The Karlsruhe-based games company, the world's largest independent provider of browser and client-based online games, is organising a recruiting film night on 4 June 2008. It's easy to take part: anyone interested can register for the free event at www.gameforge.de/karriere until 30 May. The event at the Schauburg cinema in Karlsruhe starts at 7 pm. After a short company presentation by founder and CEO Klaas Kersting, Gameforge will show the Internet thriller "Hackers". The cult film from 1995 is about computers, the World Wide Web and the power of information. After the film, participants will be able to find out more about the day-to-day work of game developers, media designers and the like in discussions with Gameforge representatives and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. Interested young talents can find out directly about current job offers, ask their questions and leave their CV using a questionnaire. It doesn't matter whether the applicant is still studying or already in a job.
