18th Lünen Film Festival Concludes With More Visitors

The Lünen Film Festival celebrated its coming of age with an all-round successful festival. Around 7.700 visitors, more than ever before, found their way into the cinemas over the four days of the festival. Particularly popular were the films “The Three Robbers”, “Jacob's Brother” and “We Say You! Darling”, some of which sold out in several screenings, the latter alone meeting nearly 800 enthusiastic spectators at the opening gala.

XXS – Dortmund Short Film Festival

The Dortmund Short Film Festival is organised by students of the Advertising and Media Academy Marquardt (WAM) in cooperation with the Dortmund Agency and CineStar Dortmund. A selection of 10 short films will be screened from all submissions from German-speaking countries. An expert jury will select the three best short films and award them the "Dortmund Short Film Prize" in bronze, silver and gold, which are endowed with 500, 1,000 and 1,500 euros respectively. The Audience Award will also be presented again this year.

NDR films sweep the North German Film Award

"The Art of Negative Thinking" by Bråd Breien was honored with the NDR Film Award at the 49th Nordic Film Days in Lübeck. The festival’s highest award, worth 12,500 euros, was presented by the NDR Director of Television, Volker Herres, on Saturday evening (November 3) at the film award night in Lübeck’s Music and Congress Hall.
