Duration: 2.5 days / 25 hours Fri 15:00 - 20:00 CET SAT + SUN 10:00 - 20:00 CET Location: Gelnhausen, Hesse, 40 km east of Frankfurt am Main Objective: Participants gain an insight into the art of stop-motion animation. They learn about the techniques, tools and procedures used and can gain initial experience in animating three-dimensional figures or deepen their existing experience. Topics in the theoretical part of the workshop: - Cameras & recording methods / hardware & software - Principles of animation - Planning a scene, timing, performance - Working with X-sheets Topics in the practical part of the workshop: - Applying the principles of animation through simple animation exercises - Planning, developing and shooting participants’ own scenes with humanoid character skeletons - Working with flying rigs General information / answers to FAQs: - Figures are provided - Participants can take their recordings home - Each participant receives a handout with information (literature, equipment used, software, links, etc.) - We work with DRAGON - professional stop-motion software Maximum number of participants: 8 people Cost per participant: Registration as a regular participant (two participants share one recording system) Students, trainees & civil-service workers: EUR 185,- (including VAT) Hobbyists: EUR 200,- (including VAT) Self-employed people, educators and anyone using the course as professional training: EUR 255,- (including VAT) Surcharge when registering as an individual participant: (The participant has a recording system to themselves) Students, trainees & civil-service workers: +EUR 100,- (including VAT) Hobbyists: +EUR 120,- (including VAT) Self-employed people, educators and anyone using the course as professional training: +EUR 150,- (including VAT
